SonicFill composite system has been named a recipient of the Pride
Institute’s Best of Class Technology Award (“Emerging Technology”
category) for 2011.
"SonicFill is a first-of-its-kind, time-saving composite system that enables clinicians to perform posterior restorations with a fast, easy and reliable bulk fill technology using a sonic-activated handpiece. The SonicFill technology has quickly been embraced by the dental community, who can now go from placement to a polished restoration in less than 3 minutes on cavities up to 5mm."Fill more quickly with Sonic Energy
SonicFill is the NEW and SIMPLE system for filling cavities in the side tooth area. SonicFill combines the properties of a flowable with those of a composite: oscillation energy temporally increases flowability of the composite to achieve precise filling of cavities - then modelling occurs with increased viscosity.

- Fast: just one working step thanks to hardening of composite up to 5 mm
- Better: clinically safe results thanks to very good adhesion to cavity walls with minimised shrinkage
- Easy: application via small cannula and controlled by foot control
System from KaVo and Kerr
Kerr Corporation and KaVo Dental GmbH have put together their core competences to create a first-of-its-kind, time-saving filling system for posterior restorations.
SonicFill System enables clinicians to perform posterior restorations with an easy-to-use, single-step procedure that combines the advantages of a flowable composite with a universal composite.
SonicFill System is comprised of a KaVo handpiece that enables sonic activation of a specially designed and conveniently delivered composite from Kerr. SonicFill’s proprietary sonic activation signi-ficantly reduces the composite’s viscosity to rapidly fill the cavity.
Dentists utilizing SonicFill are able to reduce time for placement, packing and sculpting their restorations.

On average the dentists using SonicFill compared to conventional layering technique experienced
a time saving of approx. 30 %.
This time saving comes from 5 mm increments that allows the single- step procedure and also from shorter handling time.
